Seneca Rocks! makes its' first ever appearance in New England. Four of the Five members of the band were members of what is now regarded as one of the premier neo-traditional bluegrass bands performing in the past 25 years "The Johnson Mountain Boys." They were one of the bands that proved to many died in the wool traditional bluegrass fans that there were young bands out there that could really perform knock out traditional bluegrass; and made it "hip" again for young audiences. The members have garnered International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) honors as both instrumentalist and vocalist of the year as well as being members in the best bluegrass acts such as: "The Seldom Scene," "Rhonda Vincent & The Rage," "The Lynn Morris Band," and more. Joining the four former Johnson Mountain Boys in "Seneca Rocks!" is the fine singer songwriter Sally Love, who many Granite Stater's may have some familiarity with. In addition to performing in the band as a singer songwriter, Ms. Love is a well known talk show personality as "The Bug Lady" a result of her role as an insect collector with the Smithsonian Institution. She has appeared on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson as well as numerous appearances on the "Letterman Show." Whether an insect theme may be a part of the band wardrobe is yet to be determined.

High Range is a band of regular folk who can delve into their emotions to write some great songs and deliver them with soul. You would think they were a family band when you hear their comfortable New England harmonies and their ability to read each other like a book. They just don’t fight as much as those family bands do. (In fact, they don't fight at all). They can pick pretty well too. Their shows are fun and easy-going and listeners definitely know that they're enjoying each other's playing, company and camaraderie. Their song, "Leave This All Behind" (Kneeland/Jones) hit #1 on Music Choice in July of 2004. Lauded by critics from Portland to Nashville, their second album Beyond the Foothills has received a coveted highlight review in Bluegrass Unlimited, the premier bluegrass journal. "The vocals are tight and true; the instrumental work impressive, the songs a pleasure to hear repeatedly," raves reviewer Dave McCarty, adding "High Range has forged a tight, compelling ensemble sound that is highly musical and thoroughly entertaining." In addition, national magazine Bluegrass Now's critic Tim Walsh selected Beyond the Foothills as one of his top five records of 2003, touting the group's excellent songwriting and musicianship.

Soginese Creek Bluegrass is a group of four talented and experienced musicians who play and sing genuine acoustic bluegrass with honest respect for the traditions of the music. With credentials and time in rank, as part of some of the finest bands of our region: (Traver Hollow, Old Cold Tater, Groundspeed..) they are already seasoned professionals. Their instrumental work is solid and exciting, and their vocals blend smoothly to create a sound reminiscent of the golden years of bluegrass, at a time when this most American of musical genres is enjoying a new popularity. Come and witness.
